Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fly ash modification method for not only reducing unburned carbon content, but also enhancing activity index while removing mercury effectively.SOLUTION: A fly ash modification method has a supply process for supplying first fly ash F1 to a kiln 1, a heating process for supplying a burning gas CF to the kiln 1, heating the fist fly ash F1 at 600°C to 900°C to cause autogenous combustion of unburned carbon and volatilizing mercury, a separation process for separating the mercury and a second fly ash F2 from exhaust gas G1 generated in the heating process, and a particle size adjustment process for making prescribed fineness by adjusting particle size of a third fly ash F3 in the heating process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
