Abstract:
To provide an interleukin-11 conjugate which is stable and need not be frequently administered, to provide a medicinal preparation containing the same, and to provide like things.
The interleukin-11 conjugate is a polyethylene glycol/interleukin-11 conjugate obtained by reacting an interleukin-11 with a specified polyethylene glycol of a number-average molecular weight of 2,000 to 500,000 under specified conditions. By selecting a suitable polyethylene glycol derivative, it is possible to produce a product having a constant molecular weight in a high yield and to permit the avoidance of frequent administration of interleukin-11 and the enhancement of its therapeutic effect.
