Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject copolymer useful for medicine, capable of efficiently administrating medicines and reducing side effects, as a medicine carrier having orientation, by amidating a copolymer containing maleic acid with an amino group-containing phenylboron acid.
CONSTITUTION: Maleic acid and another monomer (e.g. N-vinylpyrrolidone) are dissolved in acetone, mixed with azobisisobutyronitrile as an initiator and polymerized at 50°C for four hours. The prepared polymer is amidated with 3-amino-4-heptafluoropropylphenylboron acid to give the objective copolymer comprising a random copolymer comprising a structural unit of formula I {R1 is group of formula II (R1 is F or group of the formula CbF2bX (X is F, H or Cl; (b) is 1-10 integer), etc.; (a) is 1 or 2], etc.; R2 is r1 or OH}, N- vinylpyrrolidone unit of formula III and a structural unit such as styrene unit, vinyl acetate unit, isobutylene unit, having the molar ratio of the unit of formula I: the unit of formula III of 1:0.01-100 and 1,000-1,000,000 molecular weight.
