Abstract:
To provide a modified polyester which is excellent in transparency and suitable as a raw material for a vessel for a beverage or the like, and allows the production of the vessel with good productivity, and a process for its production.
The modified polyester contains a polyolefin chain with an Mw (weight average molecular weight) of 43 to 1,000,000 as a copolymerization component, favorably, a copolymerization unit (A) with a structure shown by the general formula in the Figure and the copolymerization unit (A) is preferably contained at a proportion of 0.001-500 ppm relative to the modified polyester.
