Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce the subject fiber capable of giving a strong and soft nonwoven cloth by hot roll processing by attaching an oil composed mainly of a dibasic acid ester and/or a fatty acid ester to a fiber under specific condition.
CONSTITUTION: A polyolefin fiber having a birefringence of ≤0.054 is coated with 0.1-1.0wt.% of an oil composed mainly of a dibasic acid ester and/or a fatty acid ester. A fiber and a nonwoven cloth having a broad processing temperature range, excellent hot-roll processability and low-temperature adhesivity can be produced by this process.
