Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the modified polyolefin resin which very scarcely suffers from a change in hue and has excellent mechanical properties by mixing a specified resin with a specified modifier, a vinyl monomer and a radical initiator.
CONSTITUTION: 100 pts.wt. resin component comprising 90-10 pts.wt. PP resin (e.g. PP) and 10-90 pts.wt. diene copolymer (e.g. ethylene/propylene/diene copolymer) is mixed with 0.1-30 pts.wt. glycidyl-containing modifier of the formula (wherein Ar is a 6-23C aromatic hydrocarbon group having at least one glycidyl group; and R is H or CH3), 0.1-30 pts.wt. vinyl monomer (e.g. styrene) and 0.01-5 pts. wt. radical initiator [e.g. 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di(t-butylperoxy)-hexine-3].
