Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified polypropylene that is excellent in mechanical properties such as fluidity, tensile property, impact resistance, has a good adhesiveness to other resins and a good compatibility with other resins, has a good adhesiveness to carbon fiber, glass fiber and the like, has a good coating property, and is light weight and inexpensive.SOLUTION: A modified polypropylene is obtained by blending (A) polypropylene, (B) rosin ester and/or modified rosin ester, and (C) radical initiator, and melting and kneading the resultant the formulation, in which a mass ratio of a component (A) to a component (B) is 99.8 - 65/0.2-35 and a component (C) content is 0.001-8 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the total amount of the component (A) and the component (B).EFFECT: Owing to the effect that a functional group like a carboxyl group is introduced into the skeleton of a modified polypropylene, the modified polypropylene has a good adhesiveness to other resin and a good compatibility with other resin and has also an excellent adhesiveness to carbon fiber, and glass fiber, therefore the modified polypropylene can be widely applied in an industrial world as mobile components, electronic or electric components, and the like.SELECTED DRAWING: None
