Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified polyvinyl acetal resin having excellent crosslinking property and enabling a molded body having high strength to be produced, and a modified polyvinyl acetal resin composition obtained using the modified polyvinyl acetal resin.SOLUTION: There is provided a modified polyvinyl acetal resin containing a constitutional unit having an imine structure represented by the following formula (2). There is also provided a polyvinyl acetal resin further having an amino group or an amide structure in a side chain. There is further provided polyvinyl acetal resin having the total content of a structural unit having an amino group or an amide structure and the structural unit having the imine structure of 0.1 to 20 mol% and an acetalization degree of 60 to 90 mol%. And there is still further provided a modified polyvinyl acetal resin composition obtained by using the modified polyvinyl acetal resin and a crosslinking agent. In the formula (2), R3 is H or a C1 to 18 hydrocarbon group and R4 is C1 to 18 hydrocarbon group.
