Abstract:

To provide a material including a conductor or a semiconductor region covered with a polymer layer having enough thickness and/or a structure to resist corrosion and abrasion.

At least a kind of diazonium salt having an initiator functional group is used to form an undercoat by grafting a graft derived from the diazonium salt to form an initiator functional group on the surface of the conductive material or the semiconductive material in the undercoat, and a polymer layer is formed on the undercoat, wherein the polymer is given by the in situ polymerization specifically by the free radical polymerization of at least one kind of monomer initiated through the initiator functional group.
