To provide a modifier for a polylactic acid-based resin that improves impact characteristics and plasticity while maintaining thermal characteristics and molding processability which the polylactic acid-based resin has, and a polylactic acid-based resin composition containing the modifier and a polylactic acid-based resin.
The polylactic acid-based resin composition is produced by adding a modifier for a polylactic acid-based resin, which includes a fatty acid ester composed of a fatty acid including undecylenic acid and glycerin and/or polyglycerol, to a polylactic acid-based resin, and by performing melt mixing of them. The polylactic acid-based resin composition obtained in this way has excellent impact characteristics and plasticity while maintaining thermal characteristics and molding processability.
