PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of contamination on surface and prevent the contamination of recovery gas by containing molding in the treating chamber of a size at which the molding can be contained and introducing the purified high-temperature high-pressure gas through the gas channel filled with deoxidizing agent thereby performing the treatment.
CONSTITUTION: A molding 2 is disposed in a vessel body 3a in which a treating chamber 3 is formed and whose top part is held open. Thence, a cover body 3b having a gas channel 4 is mounted and is hermetically closed by performing circumferential welding. Next, the treating vessel A obtained in this way is loaded into a high-pressure vessel and is subjected to hot hydrostatic pressing. In this case, a deoxidizing agent 5, preferably Ti, Zr, Si, Mn, Al, Mg, Nb or V alone or their alloy or the like is disposed in the gas channel 4 into which is then introduced the purified high-temperature high-pressure gas so that it is acted upon the molding 2. Here, prior to said treatment the inside of the vessel 3 is evacuated to a vacuum and is replaced with pure Ar gas or after the vessel is loaded into the high-pressure vessel, the inside of the apparatus is evacuated and the remaining gas is replaced with Ar gas and at this same instant the replacement of the vessel 3 inside is accomplished.
