Title:
MODULATED DIFFERENTIAL SCANNING CALORIMETER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3936847
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve analysis efficiency by providing more correct heat flow measured values in an MDSC operation method.
SOLUTION: The modulated differential scanning calorimeter(MDSC) and two-temperature difference signals of the temperature difference between a sample position and a reference position and the temperature difference between the sample position and a base are used. Heat flows associated with a sample and a reference holding pan, and the difference in heating rates of a sample and the pan are calculated in this approach. Since the dependence of heat capacity calibration factor is reduced considerably or is eliminated, modulation time can be made short, so that higher underlying heating rates can be used because the modulation time can be made short, and as a result, a time for users to use in MDSC experiments can be shortened.
