Abstract:

To obtain a system on the basis of a logic circuit that can be reconfigured without increasing the number of demodulators and modulators by modulating a transmission signal on the basis of a decided modulation format of an incoming signal modulated in compliance with any of a plurality of modulated formats.

A host processing section 236 outputs a modulation format to a controller 246 and stores in advance a frequency and a bandwidth for each channel. The controller 246 transmits the modulation format to a RAM 248. The RAM 248 has a program to configure a modulation circuit as to every modulation form such as modulations types VSB, QAM, QPSK, DMT, CDMA and TDMA. Upon the receipt of the format, the controller 246 calls the program for the modulation circuit for a prescribed selected modulation format and outputs this format to a demodulator.
