Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a cylindrical module usable as a thin film device and constituted of a shell with couplings detachably attached to its ends and at least one undetachable cartridge held in the shell.
CONSTITUTION: This thin film module 10, 60 consists of a tubular shell 11, a first end pipe flange 26, a second end pipe flange 27 and at least one cartridge 20. The cartridge 20 is constructed from wafers, each of which consists of an array of essentially linear hollow fibers respectively disposed at some intervals. This array is held in the thin sheet-shaped frame.
