Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a polyurethane foam excellent in moisture absorbing and desorbing properties inexpensively and simply by dispersing a specified substance in the cell membranes and skeleton of a polyurethane foam.
CONSTITUTION: This foam is produced by dispersing sericin in the cell membranes and skeleton of a polyurethane foam. The form is obtained by reacting a composition comprising a polyol (e.g. a polyether polyol obtained by the addition reaction of glycerol with propylene oxide and ethylene oxide), a polyisocyanate (e.g. tolylene diisocyanate), a catalyst (e.g. dibutyltin dilaurate) and a blowing agent (e.g. trichloromonofluoromethane) in the presence of 0.01-50 pts.wt., per 100 pts.wt. polyol, sericin.
