To provide a moisture-absorbing heat-generating cellulose fiber fabric in which cellulose fiber itself may absorb moisture and generate heat, and a method for manufacturing the same.
In a moisture-absorbing heat-generating cellulose fiber fabric (4) of this invention, a cellulose fiber (1) is covalently bonded to phosphoric ester (2) and is graft-bonded (3) with at least one selected from (meth)acrylic acid salt and (meth)acrylic acid amide, and a maximum temperature difference attained in absorbing moisture is 1.5°C or more. An example of a method for manufacturing the moisture-absorbing heat-generating cellulose fiber fabric comprises: irradiating a cellulose fiber fabric with electron beams; and bringing the resultant cellulose fiber fabric into contact with at least one selected from (meth)acrylic acid salt and (meth)acrylic acid amide and with an aqueous solution including phosphoric acid and urea to obtain the moisture-absorbing heat-generating cellulose fiber fabric.
