PURPOSE: To obtain a mold for casting having a chiller surely kept at the normal position after joining the molds.

CONSTITUTION: The mold for casting is provided with a drag 1, the chiller 15 set so as to project upward from the joint surface 3 and a cope 2 enclosing the part of the chiller projecting upward from the joint surface at the time of joining the molds. A flange part 17 is arranged at the upper end part of the chiller 15, and a core print part 9a for holding the chiller in the drag projects upward from the joint surface 3. Further, core print parts 14a-c in the cope are engaged with the surroundings of the projecting part of the core print part in the drag. The posture of the chiller 15 held with the core print part 9a is stabilized, and the contact area between the cope 2 and the upper surface of the chiller 17 is increased by the area of the flange, so that the chiller is surely held.
