PURPOSE: To obtain a mold for continuously casting a battery grid body which continuously casts the grid body having high reliability without causing the short circuit even due to the occurrence of the warp in a pole plate by connecting the adjacent grid body forming carving parts mutually with a sideward frame forming part.
CONSTITUTION: Each grid body forming carving part 2 is carved so that the continuously cast grid bodies 4 are connected to each other through ear parts 8 or foot parts 9. That is, the grid body forming carving part 2 is constituted so that a longitudinal fame forming part 5a is provided in the peripheral direction of peripheral surface 1a of a rotary drum 1, a sideward frame forming part 6a is provided in the width direction of peripheral surface 1a of the rotary drum 1, and a grid body forming part 7a is provided in the part surrounded with these longitudinal frame forming part 5a and sideward frame forming part 6a. The adjacent grid forming carving parts 2 are connected to each other through one pair of ear forming parts 8a or one pair of foot forming parts 9a between the adjacent mutual sideward frame forming parts 6a. On the outer periphery of a rotary drum 1, a nozzle 3 is arranged so as to continuously supply the molten metal.
