Abstract:
To provide a die heating device that can heat a die more efficiently.SOLUTION: A die heating device 1 is arranged between a lower die 104 and an upper die 106 before molten metal is infused into a cavity formed by clamping the lower die 104 and the upper die 106 opposing to the lower die 104 and preliminary heats the lower die 104 and the upper die 106. The die heating device 1 comprises a main body frame 10 having a first opening part Od at the lower die 104 side and a second opening part Ou at the upper die 106 side, and infrared heaters 12A and 12B, supported on the main body frame 10, in which carbonaceous heating elements 32A and 32B which are energized to radiate infrared ray are included into quartz glass tube 30. By radiation of infrared ray in the infrared heaters 12A and 12B, heat generation surfaces having center parts larger in heater generation than parts at edges are formed in the first opening part Od and in the second opening part Ou.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
