Abstract:

To provide a mold insert capable of preventing a zipper element of a zipper piece from being soiled during molding.

The mold insert 10 is arranged between a forming mold 13 or a forming magnet and the zipper piece 11 adapted to be molded in a form-like article. The mold insert 10 provides a flat surface to cope with and supplement various circumstances of the surface of the mold 13 and then to tightly seal the zipper piece 11. This prevents the zipper element of the zipper piece 11 from being soiled during molding. In another embodiment of the present invention, instead of using the mold insert with the zipper piece 11, an engagement member is mounted on the surface not neighboring to the mold 13 in order to engage with a grip or a wire. The grip or the wire is embedded in the form-like article during molding.
