Abstract:

To provide a mold for molding capable of forming a lens array with high profile accuracy and suppressing occurrence of strain and flaw.

In this fixed mold 61 or the like, a support body transcription portion 61b provided around respective element transcription portions 61a corresponding to respective element portions 71a has a convex shape, so that, during the hardening in a cavity CA, the respective element portions 71a are disposed in a state of having sufficient independence by being surrounded with the convex shape. Even if being shrunk when hardening the lens array 71, this mold is apt to retain the disposition relationship between the respective element portions 71a to form the lens array 71 with high profile accuracy. In this case, the respective element portions 71a are retained surrounded into the convex shape so as to prevent easy application of strain to a first optical surface 71j in particular and suppress the occurrence of the strain and flaw.
