Title:
ANTIBACTERIAL/ANTI-MOLD POLYMER PARTICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3941111
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide antibacterial/anti-mold polymer particles effectively and lastingly exhibiting antibacterial properties and anti-mold properties of metals by including a metal having antibacterial/anti-mold properties as metallic ultra fine particles or metal complex ultra fine particles at a high concentration.
SOLUTION: The antibacterial/anti-mold polymer particles are obtained by including ≥0.1 wt.% metal in polymer particles of an acrylic polymer or its derivative, wherein the acrylonitrile-based polymer has an ion-exchangable or ion-coordination polar group and crosslinked structure crosslinked by hydrazine, the derivative is obtained by converting ≥0.1 wt.% remaining nitrile group in the polymer to carboxy and the metal is at least one selected from Ag, Cu or Zn and is contained as metal ultra fine particles or metal complex ultra fine particles each having ≤100 nm particle diameter.
