Abstract:
To prevent a mold or the like from being broken when replacing the mold.SOLUTION: A mold replacement device 200 replaces a mold 10 for a press machine 100 that press-processes a work-piece W with the mold 10 (an upper mold 13) held on a holder 12. The mold replacement device 200 comprises: a gripper 210 that grips the mold 10; a control part 220 that moves the gripper 210 in a second direction that is opposite to a first direction which is a direction in which the mold 10 is inserted into the holder 12, with the mold 10 inserted into the holder 12 and with the mold 10 gripped with the gripper 210; a detecting part 230 that detects a load amount representing a degree of loads in the first direction acting on the gripper 210; and a determining part 240 that determines a holding situation of the mold 10 by the holder 12, on the basis of the load amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
