Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold capable of accelerating cooling easily, when manufacturing, for example, an artificial stone from reduction slag.SOLUTION: A mold 1 is used for storing a molten iron or slag generated in a steel making process. The mold includes a body 2 which is a container, an outer frame 3 storing the body inside, and forming a space between the body and the outer periphery, and a lid 4 for blocking an opening on an upper part of the body. The lid can change its position so as to expose the opening. A refractory material 35 having a heat insulation function is stored in a space between the body and the outer frame.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
