PURPOSE: To save manpower of knock out as well as execute knock out without hurting environmental hygiene in shop by building in shape memory alloy in which see is changed at the prescribed temp. of pouring.
CONSTITUTION: Knock out is required for obtaining an as cast product after pouring work, because a core is built in with a core bar made of shape memory alloy, in which shape is memorized at the prescribed temp., the temp. difference of molten metal at pouring is transferred to the core, as a temp. of the core exceeds the prescribed temp., the core bar is deformed bit by bit and then internal stress is generated in the core. But collapse of core before solidification of casting must be avoided. A degree of deformation of shape memory alloy is good enough to execute knock out with a less force. Thus, heating treatment is not required for knock out work, air contamination, etc., due to generation of noise and dust are reduced and labor environmental hygiene is improved.
