PURPOSE: To obtain a mold capable of molding a lens array with the aperture of the lens and the pitch of the arrayed lens kept to prescribed values, by accommodating a plurality of lens pieces in a specified state in a base piece that defines wall surfaces for molding a frame section.
CONSTITUTION: A prescribed number of the column-like lens pieces 4 and the base piece 7 are provided, the base piece 7 being formed with accommodating holes 6 for keeping continuously a row of the lens pieces 4 with the adjacent outer circumferential surfaces 5 in firm contact with each other. The lens piece 4 is formed with at its one end a wall surface 8 for molding a single lens 2 whose center is coincident with the center line l of the lens piece. The base piece 7 has the wall surfaces 1 for molding the frame section 9 of the lens array 3. If the diameter D of the lens piece 4 is accurately formed, the accuracy of the hole 6 is less required.
