To easily restore a shape of an original curved surface, by using a specific thermoplastic synthetic resin, and molding the surface shape by utilizing the other part of a car body having the surface shape same as that of a part to be repaired before, or a corresponding part of the other car body of the same model.
A polycaprolactone resin is heated to be melted, the molten resin is pressed to a specified car body part, to be deformed, and cooled to be hardened. Whereby a resin lump having a support face with can be just closely kept into contact with the surface, can be obtained. The resin lump is used as a sand paper support, a rear face of the sand paper is pasted on the support face by a thin double-sided adhesive tape, and a part of the sand paper out of the resin is removed to obtain a polishing tool having a polishing face which is fit to a fender face. Then the polyester putty is sufficiently applied onto a part to be repaired, and hardened, and the hardened putty face is polished by using this polishing tool, to obtain the correctly curved putty face which is substantially agreed with the shape of the original surface before damaged.
