Abstract:
To provide an activated carbon suitable for a canister having proper strength, high adsorption ability and desorption ability.
The molded activated carbon has ≥1 kg crushing strength measured by kiya method and ≥0.4 J/K.cc specific heat (at 25°C). The molded activated carbon is obtained by kneading 100 pts.wt. granular activated carbon, 10 to 100 pts.wt. of clay, 5 to 200 pts.wt. of solid heat storage material and 2 to 20 pts.wt. of boron compound and/or phosphorus compound, molding and calcining and the method for manufacturing the molded activated carbon is provided.
