To prevent deformation of a molded article upon cutting and to effectively prevent re-adhesion when the molded article extruded from an extruder in the extruding direction is continuously cut at every predetermined length.
A molded article cutting apparatus 10 continuously cuts the molded article extruded from the extruder 9 in the extruding direction X, at every predetermined length to obtain a large number of molded articles, and includes: a sensor 1 which is provided so as to detect that an end of the extruded molded article hass reached a predetermined position; a rotary tool 2 which has a cutting blade 5 composed of a stretched wire material and is rotated to cut the molded article by the cutting blade 5; and a drive part 3 which, in response to detection by the sensor 1, rotates the rotary tool so as to cut the molded article. The rotary tool 2 includes a spraying part 6 spraying fluid to the molded article obtained by cutting from the lateral direction in relation to the extrusion direction X, and further includes a feed part feeding the fluid to the spraying part 6 from a fluid source.
