Title:
MOLDED CARPET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05339866
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make a molded carpet lighter without damaging its design.

CONSTITUTION: A molded carpet 20 is obtained by molding piles 60 composed of multifilament yarns having ≥3 degree of modification of each filament on one side of ground fabric. The piles 60 form pile lines 63a to 63e planted at given stitch width in a given linear direction and pile planting positions of mutually adjoining pile lines are provided with a phase difference in the pile line direction. The top of each pile 60a in the pile line direction is before the ends of the diagonal front piles 60b and 60c of the adjoining pile lines and the end of each pile 60a is behind the tops of the diagonal rear piles 60d and 60e of the adjoining pile lines. Since each pile has high bulky properties and can reduce weight of the pile 60, the molded carpet can be made light-weight. Since the ground fabric is not exposed in a linear state at a bent part, design is not damaged.
