Abstract:

To inexpensively provide a molded lubricant stably supplying a lubricant onto an image carrier over a long period of time.

In the molded lubricant 6b containing the lubricant 31 to be applied on the surface of the image carrier carrying a latent image in a fine powder state as a principal component, gallium 31 is incorporated. The lubricant 31 is composed of preferably one kind of lubricating substance selected from melamine cyanurate, polytetrafluoroethylene and boron nitride or one kind of wax selected from paraffin and polyethylene. The molded lubricant is preferably molded by compression in a rod shape.
