To provide a high-modulus high-tensile-strength segmented polyurethane urea(SPU) product and a method for preparing this product.
This product is made from a segmented polyurethaneurea(SPU) composed of a segment (1) consisting of a reaction product of an at least difunctional isocyanate compound with a polyol compound having a number- average molecular weight of 800-6,000 and a segment (2) consisting of an isocyanate compound and a diamine compound and having a purity of 80mol% or above and a branching density of 15-50mmol/kg and having such a morphological structure that 10-80%, based on the total area, relatively high-modulus island-like domains are distributed per 9(μm)2 when an arbitrary surface or cross-section of the product is measured with the viscoelastic mode of a scanning probe microscope with a single-crystal silicon antilever (125μm in length, at a frequency of 7-8kHz and a horizontal resolution of 0.2-1nm) having a spring constant of 0.1-1N/m.
