PURPOSE: To improve the form of a molded transformer and the dimensional accuracy of user terminals and to realize the simplification of a production process and a cost reduction by a method wherein a transformer main body is subjected to molding with a low-melting viscosity thermoplastic resin in a low molecular weight having little molding stress, a cover is formed and recessed parts are formed in the lower part of this sheathing.
CONSTITUTION: A through hole 22 is provided in the center of a structure, an EE type or EI type ferrite core 27 is combined with a coil bobbin 21 wound with conductor wire 23 to constitute a closed magnetic path and a transformer main body is formed. This transformer main body is subjected to molding with a low-melting viscosity thermoplastic resin in a low molecular weight having little molding stress and a cover 30 is formed. Recessed parts 29 are formed in the lower part of this cover 30. Thereby, the form of a transformed and the dimensional accuracy of user terminals can be improved, the simplification of a production process due to a reduction in the number of parts items can be realized and a low-cost, high-safety and high-quality molded transformer can be provided.
