PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a flash due to intrusion of a part of a belt slab S into a gap between divided bodies on the occasion when an outer die 20 for pressing the belt slab S on an inner die 10 is divided into the divided bodies in a plurality and the bodies are moved inward radially to press the belt slab S so as to enhance the molding precision thereof.
SOLUTION: The outer die 20 is divided, in the circumferential direction, into a plurality of divided pieces 21 having sliding contact faces 21a having tapered sections respectively and into a plurality of suppression pieces 22 so provided as to close up respectively the gap between the two divided pieces 21 adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction and having sliding contact faces 22a having reversely tapered sections respectively. The divided pieces 21 and the suppression pieces 22 are moved inward radially, while the sliding contact faces 21a and 22a are brought into sliding contact with each other so that no gap be brought about between the divided piece 21 and the suppression piece 22.
