Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding device in which machining accuracy is hardly deteriorated even if continuously used for a long time, and a method of controlling the molding device.SOLUTION: In a molding device, a molding roller whose machining end position is controlled by a servo motor 108, presses a molded component to mold. The molding device includes: an encoder 109 for detecting the drive displacement of the servo motor 108; a linear scale 107 for detecting a position of the molding roller; a control portion 201 for controlling the servo motor 108 so as to make a detection position of the linear scale 107 become a target position; and a correcting portion 202 for correcting the target position on the basis of the detection displacement detected by the encoder 109 and the detection position of the linear scale 107.
