Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding device and a molding method capable of acquiring a molded article having proper characteristics.SOLUTION: A control unit 70 controls operation of a blow molding metal mold 13 so as to open the blow molding metal mold 13 after completion of molding by the blow molding metal mold 13, and controls a cooling part 90 so as to bring a cooling medium into contact with a metal pipe 80, for cooling the metal pipe 80 by the cooling medium. In this way, by bringing the cooling medium into contact with the metal pipe for cooling, compared with cooling for bringing the blow molding metal mold 13 into contact, cooling speed becomes slower, so that, hardening so as to enhance toughness of the metal pipe 80 is possible. When cooling using the cooling medium is performed, a period in which the cooling medium is brought into contact with the pipe, the amount of the cooling medium, and temperature of the cooling medium are adjusted, so that, compared with cooling for bringing the metal mold into contact with the metal pipe, adjustment of hardening is facilitated.
