Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding device which can improve a quality of a molded article.SOLUTION: A control part 70 so controls a blow mechanism 60 as to perform expansion molding of a metallic pipe material 14 by supplying a gas into the metallic pipe material 14. Consequently, the metallic pipe material 14 is expansion-molded into a shape corresponding to a main cavity part MC, and a portion of a finished article corresponding to a flange part 80b is inflated into a sub-cavity part SC. The control part 70 so controls a drive part 81 as to mold the flange part 80b by collapsing a second molding portion 14b of the inflated metallic pipe material 14 in the sub-cavity part SC. In this respect, the sub-cavity part SC is communicated with the exterior of a metal mold during molding of the flange part 80b. Therefore, during molding of the flange part 80b, air between an inner surface of the sub-cavity part SC and the second molding portion 14b of the metallic pipe material 14 can leak outside the metal mold.
