Title:
MOLDING OF FIBER-REINFORCED PLASTICS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6063136
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a fiber-reinforced plastic molding for a high-speed rotor or the like without requiring machining by a method wherein continuous fibers impregnated with a matrix resin is wound on the surface of a die, which is rotated to remove excessive matrix resin.

CONSTITUTION: For example, continuous fibers impregnated with a matrix resin is wound on a die 1 by winding method to form a wound layer 2. Then, the die 1 is rotated at a required speed to scatter excessive resin contained in the wound layer by a centrifugal force. In this manner, a fiber-reinforced plastics is formed. This is also useful for a molding with a bellows section.

EFFECT: This improves the fiber content by volume of the wound layer to make it uniform.
