Title:
MOLDING MACHINE FOR BLOCK OF BELT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3789600
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce both material loss and mold clamping force in a molding machine for insert molding a block for a belt locked fixedly to an equal interval in a belt lengthwise direction at endless tension zone by using a molding material made of thermosetting resin at the time of manufacturing a power transmission belt used for a belt type stepless transmission.
SOLUTION: The molding machine comprises a plasticizing metering unit 1 for metering molding material w1 while plasticizing it, a press-fitting unit 11 for storing the material w1 plasticized by the unit 1 in a pot 12 provided with an opening at a lower end extended in a vertical direction to extrude it from the lower end opening of the pot 12 by a plunger 13, and a mold 21 disposed so that the pot 12 is vertically passed through an upper mold 22 in such a manner that a lower end opening is disposed at mating surfaces between the mold 22 and lower mold 23, a plurality of cavities 24 are formed and a heater 26 for heating to cure the material w1 press-fitted in the cavities 24. With this configuration, the clamping force necessary to press-fit the material by the press-fitting mechanism is reduced by an amount omitting a spool.
