To provide a molding machine which can conduct satisfactory cooling of a frictional interface of a mold and, at the same time, enables the formation of a lubricating film by allowing a coolant to be sprayed directly on a frictional interface of the mold as a heat generating part.
In a molding machine for molding a spline shaft S, an axially extended flow passage 5a for the coolant is provided within a shaft of a center punch 5, for discharge of a molded product, which is provided within a mold 3 so as to be retractably movable. Further, spray ports 5b, 5b, which are extended radially from the flow passage 5a, are provided at the front end of the center punch 5. When a molded product S is discharged by retractable movement of the center punch 5, the cooling medium is sprayed through the spray ports 5b, 5b to remove heat generated at the frictional interface by friction between a material A and the mold 3.
