Abstract:
To provide a molding machine configured so that a vacuum valve can be closed at proper timing, when supplying a molding material while decompressing the inside of a cavity of a metal mold.SOLUTION: A die cast molding machine 100 (the molding machine) comprises: a metal mold 1 having a cavity 1c formed therein; a material supply part 3 that supplies molten metal M into the cavity 1c; a vacuum valve 4 provided to communicate with the cavity 1c through a runner part 10; a decompressing part 5 that decompresses the inside of the cavity 1c through the vacuum valve 4; a magnetic sensor 6 that detects a magnetic flux in a detection position P set in the runner part 10 between the cavity 1c and the vacuum valve 4; and a control part 7 that controls opening and closing of the vacuum valve 4 on the basis of variation of the magnetic flux detected by the magnetic sensor 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
