Abstract:
To provide a molding material containing glass fibers of no reinforcing function, capable of being recycled into a molded article, good in outer appearances and excellent in uniformity, with the glass fibers whose inherent defects are solved.
This molding material is composed of a thermoplastic resin containing glass fibers, wherein the glass fiber has a weight-average length of 60 μm or less and contains the fibers 100 μm or more in length at 5 wt.% or less. It can be produced by crushing a molded article composed of a thermoplastic resin containing glass fibers (in particular, recycled molded article), and then melting/kneading it to forcibly break the glass fibers.
