Abstract:
PURPOSE: The titled material capable of forming a molded article having good appearance, obtained by adding lithopone and titanium oxide to unsaturated polyester resin, followed by molding the blend into powder or a given shape.
CONSTITUTION: Unsaturated polyester resin is blended with 0.5W5wt% lithopone and not more than 0.5wt% titanium oxide as white pigments to form a given shape, e.g., powder, granules, pellets, bulks, etc. A little amount of a cobalt salt is added to suppress the discoloration of lithopone etc. caused by sunlight.
USE: Electric home appliances, e.g., a coffee-maker, a hot plate, etc., housing, a handle and knob of heater and cooking tools.
