Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a novel molding material which has especially high toughness and useful mechanical properties and optical properties, e.g. rigidity and good gloss and also good tinting as well.

CONSTITUTION: This molding material comprises (A) 1-99 wt.% microemulsion polymer fine powder having a glass transition temperature of not higher than 0°C and a central particle size of not greater than 50 nm, (B) 1-99 wt.% at least one semi-crystalline polymer, (C) 0-50 wt.% polymer selected from a fine powder graft copolymer with a central particle size of 60-10,000 nm, a thermoplastic polyurethane, a thermoplastic elastomer and an acrylate rubber, a diene rubber, an EP rubber, an EPDM rubber and a silicone rubber, (D) 0-50 wt.% polycarbonate, and (E) 0-50 wt.% fibrous or fine powder fiber or a mixture thereof, each based on the total amount of composition components (A) and (B) and further selectively, composition components (C), (D) and/or (E).
