To provide a method for press molding capable of suppressing reduction of plate thickness in a corner part in an impeller shell internal peripheral part, so that material plate thickness can be thinned with strength and rigidity kept as it is, attain reduction of a cost of production and lightening of weight in a torque converter.
A molding method of an internal peripheral corner part 43 of an impeller shell 4a of a torque converter is a molding method performing bending work by a press on a material, first/second processes are provided. In the second process, a finish press is performed. In the first process, before the second process, the material is pressed so as to obtain a shape such that in a finish press, the internal peripheral corner part 43 receives compressive force in the direction crossing with the thickness direction of the material.
