To provide a forming method and forming apparatus of cup-shaped parts, wherein a forming facility is made small-sized and the cup-shaped parts having a stepped sidewall shape excellent in strength and dimensional accuracy is formed.
When forming the cup-shaped parts 8, first, a preformed body 80B is obtained by performing the drawing of the base stock 80A of a flat-plate and forming a preliminary bottom part 85 having the smaller outside diameter than the bottom part 81 and a preliminary inclined sidewall part 86 which is obliquely stood annularly from the preliminary bottom part 85. Next, an intermediate formed body 80C is obtained by forming the preliminary formed body 80B, forming the bottom part 81 from the portion 861 on the base end side of the preliminary inclined sidewall part 86 and the preliminary bottom part 85, forming a preliminary large-diameter sidewall part 87 from the top-side portion 863 of the preliminary inclined sidewall part 86 and forming a small-diameter sidewall part 82 and a stepped part 83 from the intermediate portion 862 between the base-end portion 861 and the top-side portion 863. After that, the cup-shaped parts 8 is obtained by forming the large-diameter sidewall part 84 by ironing the preliminary large-diameter sidewall part 87.
