PURPOSE: To mold a delicately designed thick pattern in close adjacency on a base material by a method in which the concave grooves of the single engraved intaglio provided with the concave grooves corresponding to multicolored thick pattern is filled with colored thermoplastic resin correspondingly to the individual color in sequence and said colored resin is finally transferred onto the base material.
CONSTITUTION: The first runner plate 4 is pressure welded onto the upper surface of the engraved intaglio 7 provided with the concave grooves 8a, 8b corresponding to a multicolored thick pattern. The specified parts 8a of said concave grooves are filled with the first colored resin 9. Then, after the first runner plate has been separated, the second runner plate 4' is pressure welded onto the upper surface of the engraved intaglio, and the other specified parts 8b of the concave grooves are filled with the second colored resin 9'. This process is repeated by the number corresponding to the number of colors of the multicolored thick pattern. Next, said engraved intaglio is separated from the runner plate, and the base material 10 is pressure welded onto the upper surface of the exgraved intaglio and is heated, thereby transferring the colored resin in the concave grooves onto the base material, and molding the desired multicolored thick pattern.
