PURPOSE: To prevent the disturbance of the arrangement of a carcass ply caused by the pressing force of an external stitcher roller and to also prevent the generation of lean sholders and lean buttresses by operating the internal stitcher roller provided on the inside of a first molded object in connection with the movement of the external stitcher roller to make pressing places correspond each other.

CONSTITUTION: A carcass ply 5 and a side wall part 6 are laminated on a rotary molding drum 1 and formed into a first molded object having a toroidal shape by expanding the diameter of the molding drum 1 and a belt ply 8 and a treated part 9 are further laminated on the outer surface part of the first molded object. Subsequently, an external stitcher roller 11 is pressed to the tread part 9 from the surface thereof to form an unvulcanized tire 10. In this method, the internal stitcher roller 11' provided to the inside of the first molded object is cooperated with the external stitcher roller 11 to evenly press the same place of both surfaces of the first molded object to prevent the disturbance of the carcass ply 5.
