PURPOSE: To suppress the flowability of molten substance and attain performance improvement and elongation of life by adding stable powder, soluble or unsoluble in the molten substance at the operating temperature of a cell, such as aluminum oxide or the like as supporter powder.
CONSTITUTION: At a time of using glasses as sealant, by using binding materials such as polyvinylbutyral or the like, these glasses are made in the form of flexible sheet and arranged at a sealing part. Mixed molten substances composed of various oxides have high viscosity and are excellent as sealant, but at a time of adding solid supporter powder to these mixed molten substances and making them pastelike, their flowability is further suppressed and they do not flow out of the sealing part during the operation of a cell for a long time. Also, by preparing the amount and particle size of the added supporter powder, the flowability is controllable according to the structure of the sealing part.
