Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a molten metal distributing equipment which is capable of achieving high clearliness of the molten metal.
CONSTITUTION: In a molten metal distributing equipment which distributes the molten metal in a buffer furnace 1 to holding furnaces 3 in an airtight manner through launders 2, an oxygen sensor 9 and an inert gas supplying piping 7 where a valve 8 is interposed are mounted on at leaset either of the buffer furnace 1, the launder 2 and the holding furnace 3, and the opening/ closing of the valve 8 is controlled according to the oxygen content by the oxygen sensor 9. In a molten metal distributing equipment where the molten metal in the buffer furnace is distributed to the holding furnaces through the launders, a hydrogen sensor and a degassing equipment are mounted on at least either of the buffer furnace and the holding furnace, and the operation of the degassing equipment is controlled according to the hydrogen content by the hydrogen sensor.
